Spring Made a Surprise Visit

This past weekend we had the most incredible weather. After weeks of alternating snow, ice, and rain it was a more than welcome relief! We decided to get out and take advantage and went to Shelby Park in east Nashville. I think everyone had the same idea! It was packed: baseball games, runners, bikers, dogs, kids, frisbee throwing, you name it! I met my friend Donna there and we took some pictures of a bridge that crosses over the park and of the Cumberland River.

I enjoy living downtown for the simple fact that it offers beautiful old architecture around every corner.  The downtown square is also a really pretty place to photograph with the old courthouse and office buildings dating back to the 1800s.

This is what it looks like when you tell your kids that youre going for a walk and wind up taking pics of everything in sight. They were bored. Sorry!
